Ivermectin is a new broad-spectrum, high-efficiency and low toxicity antibiotic antiparasitic drug. It has good repellent effect on internal and external parasites, especially nematodes and arthropods. But it has no effect on tapeworm, trematode and protozoa. The repellent effect of macrolide antiparasitic drugs on nematodes and arthropods lies in increasing the inhibitory transmitter of the insect body γ- The release of aminobutyric acid (GABA) and the opening of Cl ion channel controlled by glutamate enhance the permeability of nerve membrane to Cl, so as to block the transmission of nerve signals, and finally nerve paralysis, so that muscle cells lose their contractile ability, resulting in insect death.
Purpose
Ivermectin is widely used in gastrointestinal nematodes, pulmonary nematodes and parasitic arthropods of cattle, sheep, horses and pigs, intestinal nematodes of dogs, ear mites, scabies, heartworm and microfilariae, as well as gastrointestinal nematodes and ectoparasites of poultry.
Functional indications
This product is a derivative of avermectin, which is an oral semi synthetic broad-spectrum antiparasitic drug. This product has effects on most nematodes (but not all nematodes) in various life cycles; It is effective to microfilariae of onchocerciae, but not to adults; It is also effective for C. faecalis, which is only in the intestine. This product has selective inhibitory effect. By combining with the high affinity of chloride channel with glutamate as the valve in nerve cells and muscle cells of non spinal animals, it leads to the increase of chloride ion permeability of cell membrane, hyperpolarization of nerve cells or muscle cells, paralysis or death of parasites. The product can also interact with chloride channels of other ligand valves, such as neurotransmitter g-aminobutyric acid (GABA). The selectivity of this product is because there is no glutamate chloride channel in some mammals, and abamectin has only low affinity for mammalian ligand chloride channel. This product cannot penetrate human blood-brain barrier. Onchocerciasis, angiostrongyliasis, hookworm, roundworm, whipworm and pinworm infection.
