Gymnamic acid (GA) is the main hypoglycemic active component of Gymnema gymnoides (GS), with a content of 3.9% ~ 9.6% in plants. Gymnamic acid is gemaglycone, gemaglycone, longaglycone, benposide (all triterpenoid saponins) and various acyl compounds (2-methylbutyryl, tigoyl, acetyl, benzoyl) glycosides formed with glucuronic acid, most of which belong to oleanolane saponins.
Main components
① Saponins: mainly gymnosinolic acid, which is used to repair and regenerate islets β Cells, increase insulin secretion and reduce blood glucose.
② Sterols: promote glucose transport, accelerate the body's absorption and utilization of glucose, and reduce the desire to eat sweets.
③ Other ingredients: contains peptides, pectin, flavonoids, alkaloids, copper and other trace elements. Gymnemic acid is the main active ingredient in the blood sugar of spoonflower vine. Its content in plants is 3.9%~9.6%. A is another active ingredient in the blood sugar of Spoonbill. In experimental and clinical studies, it has been shown that insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) and non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) are related to diabetes mellitus. (NIDDM) has the most obvious hypoglycemic effect. Gymnetin and other effective components unique to Gymnema sylvestris can reduce the intestinal absorption of glucose, improve glycogen synthesis, glycolysis, glucose production, and glucose uptake in liver and muscle, reverse hemoglobin and plasma protein glycosylation, and reduce blood glucose by stimulating the release of insulin from pancreatic islets. A large number of experimental studies show that The results showed that CP and A had marked hypoglycemic effect on four pyrimidine diabetic mice and adrenaline diabetic mice, with a reduction rate of 41.6%.
Therapeutic effect
Study on hypoglycemic effect of gymnosinolate:
Objective: To investigate the hypoglycemic effect of gymnosinolate on hyperglycemic model mice;
Methods: the blood glucose was measured by GOD-PAP method in four diabetes model.
Results: CP significantly decreased blood glucose in diabetic mice.
Conclusion: gypenosic acid has hypoglycemic effect.
