Chemical Composition
The whole grass contains about 0.05% Leonurine (a trace at the beginning of flowering, which gradually increases during the flowering period), stachydrine, rutin, fumaric acid, motherwort, 4-guanylbutanol, 4-guanylbutyric acid, arginine, essence, stigmasterol and sitosterol. Five crystalline substances: motherwort a, motherwort B and motherwort a, B and C. The flowers contain leonuridine.
