Clinical use
Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic. It not only has high anthelmintic activity against adults and larvae of gastrointestinal nematodes, but also has good effect on reticulum nematodes, Fasciola and tapeworm, and has strong insecticidal effect on eggs.
Sheep: it is highly effective against the adults and larvae of sheep blood lance nematode, Oster nematode, round hair nematode, Cooper nematode, fine neck nematode, upward mouth nematode, charbert nematode, oesophagus mouth nematode, hairy head nematode and net tail nematode. It has a good effect of expelling Moniz tapeworm and Moniz tapeworm. The effective rate of Clonorchis lanceolata can reach 100% when a large dose of 20 mg / kg is used for 5 days; The dose of 15mg / kg was used continuously for 6 days, which had a high effect on Fasciola hepatica.
Cattle: the anthelmintic spectrum of cattle is roughly similar to that of sheep. A higher dose of 7.5 ~ 10mg / kg is required for fluke. For example, it has good effects on adults of Fasciola hepatica and children of Fasciola bovis.
Horse: it has excellent effects on the adults and larvae of paraascaris equine, equine pointed tail nematode, viviparous proctor's nematode, common round nematode, round toothless nematode, round horse nematode and small round nematode.
Pig: it has good insect repellent effect on the adults and larvae of Ascaris lumbricoides, round worm of red pig and oesophagus nematode. 3 mg / kg for 3 days also had a significant killing effect on Caenorhabditis elegans.
Dogs and cats: oral administration of 25mg / kg in dogs has obvious effects on hookworm, hairy head nematode and Ascaris lumbricoides. 50mg / kg for 14 days can kill the larvae of Ascaris canis in the transitional stage; It can almost drive away tapeworms for 3 days. The treatment dose for cats was 3 days, which was effective for cat Ascaris lumbricoides, hookworm and tapeworm.
Wild animals: oral administration of 5mg / kg for 3 ~ 5 days to deer infected with oerster nematode, Cooper nematode, fine neck nematode, round hair nematode, hairy head nematode and pulmonary filariasis has good effects.
